Xuhong Mai is a graduate from Peking University, Beijing, China (the top university in China), and holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia. She completed her postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School prior to moving to Irvine in 2000. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
